Claim, Claim, Claim!
Hi Good Vibes boys and girls, for those of you that have private health insurance with extras cover may be able to claim back some of the cost of your Good-vibes classes under a wellness or health management plan. The requirement is that you have a condition that would benefit from exercise ( most of us do, it can range from a musculoskeletal condition such as back pain or neck pain or diabetes or obesity ) and that a specified health practitioner ( Either Doctor, Physiotherapist ,Occupational Therapist or exercise physiologist) fills out a form from your health fund that states that due to a condition you would be likely to benefit from attending a regular exercise programme. Health fund members can try and find out about their individual circumstances by going online and looking under health management programme or wellness programme.
The easiest way for you to claim the cost of your programme with Good vibes is to book a consultation with Belinda the physio 0403882878 where she will identify any conditions that you have and how you would benefit from a regular exercise programme and will also fill out the form. You need to submit both the form and your invoice for classes to the health fund. The consultation with Belinda is claimable under physiotherapy on.
As a bonus she will also assess any Musculoskeletal Issues that you have and advise on how best to sort them out and advise on other options such as treatment available in addition to exercise.
Belinda is a titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist which means she has a Master’s degree in addition to her Physiotherapy degree that gives her additional expertise in the assessment and treatment of physical conditions. Belinda can speak with me in regards to inappropriate and appropriate exercises for individual clients and whilst I do the best I can to accommodate this in a big class environment for any major musculoskeletal conditions or recent ( more than 6 weeks) surgery, you are best to start a programme by attending the back to basics exercise classes.
These are run by Belinda and are small sized classes with the aim of providing an environment where you can exercise safely with an underlying condition in a class that is less likely to aggravate and can be more adaptable to individual circumstances. This is claimable separately under physio group exercise.
Once your MSK issue has settled and you can easily do Belinda’s class, you can join me to attend my classes which will push you harder, are a bit riskier but with regular attendance will give you a quicker result in terms of strength and fitness.
